Episode #4 – A Discussion On Watch Materials

In this week’s show Ranch Racer and Perpetual Girl discuss the various materials used in watch construction, and the merits (and demerits) of each. Let’s just say that rose gold most definitely is NOT their favorite.

PG kicks off the wrist checks with her Christopher Ward C60 Trident GMT 600 38mm. The duo both have a ton of respect for CW and what they’ve done with the various collections. Ranch Racer is wearing his newly acquired Casio AMW-320R analog/digital diver from the early 90s, who’s purchase was inspired by an Instagram post. Thanks @casio.geek!

A HUGE shout out to Mike and Kaz from Two Broke Watch Snobs. Kaz was super patient with Ranch Racer’s late night questions on website design, Podcast publishing, etc. And both Mike and Kaz took the time to listen to the first couple of episodes and provide their feedback. Thanks guys!

On to the main topic where the pair touch on the various materials used today in watch design including rose gold, yellow gold, bronze, carbon fiber, and stainless steel. Not everyone will agree with their assessments, but disagreement is what makes the world go ‘round! Let us know what you think.
